Happy Halloween everyone! I hope you all will have a great, fun, and safe Halloween! I will not be dressing up this year, but I will be celebrating the holiday by attending the Lakers game tonight! Yay!
Since it's the end of the month, I bring to you my favorite beauty products that I loved using! :)
Within the past several years, I've heard so many people raving about the It's a 10 Miracle Leave-In products, and I admit that I happened to have gotten my hands on the original one a while back. Pricey little thing I must say, but it worked well for my hair making it smooth, soft and shiny in a good and healthy way. I also heard that the one with "plus keratin" was even better than the original, so I picked up a duo set at Target when I saw two for the price of one this past summer. My expectations were high. I loved the original one so much, so this one had to be better right, because it's PLUS keratin?! Keratin is good for your hair!? Well, after trying this product out here and there for the past several months, I have to say that it's not a favorite of mine. Although it smells extremely good, it doesn't do much for my hair with the exception that it detangles it.
The instructions states to apply it to damp hair and comb through. I've done that multiple times, and I've also used it directly on my dry hair alone. Some days I feel like it makes my hair silky and soft, and other days I feel as if my hair is just bland and weighed down with product. I've gone back to my BioSilk Silk Therapy serum, which I love, and I prefer over this. I seriously thought that the Plus Keratin product would take over my love for my BioSilk when I first purchased it, but I was wrong. You know how it seems to work for you the first couple of times and then it kind of stops? Yup, I think that's what happened.
Maybe it's my hair type, or maybe it's because I like another product more, but I will say that it is a very good smelling hair detangler. I was just expecting more out of this four ounce bottle that retails at most stores for $20. What do you guys think about this product? Hit or miss? I so badly wanted to enjoy this product! :\
The 10 things that this product is supposed to do for your hair.
This simple manicure is probably one of my favorites that I've done. I always enjoy painting my nails a nude shade that is slightly pink, and I enjoy some shine and glitter with that too! I am wearing Zoya's "Rue," and Butter London's "Dubs."
Zoya's "Rue" is from the Naturel Collection and can be described as a cool-toned nude pink. It's very opaque, and leaves you with a beautiful cream finish. I absolutely love this shade! (2 coats)
Butter London's "Dubs" contains fine pink and silver glitter with larger circular silver glitter. This is a textured glitter so once it dries it has that rough surface that was once so popular back a year or two ago. This lacquer stays put since the polish eventually hardens on your nail, and if I could, I would wear glitter on my nails all the time, but I hate taking it off because it takes forever! My suggestion to save yourself some time in the future is to wear a base coat or a layer of a cream lacquer underneath the glitter, so that it's easier to take off in the future. It works for me all the time! Save yourself the struggle! (2 coats)

It is almost November! WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE?! BUT, Halloween hasn't arrived yet! I love fall so much, so I decided to do the "I Heart Fall Tag!" This was so fun to do! Feel free to do it yourself! I want to hear/read it! :)
1. Favorite fall lip product? L'Oreal Le Matte in "Matte-r of Fact!" This dark berry shade is so perfect for the fall! I love rockin' out the dark, bold lips during the colder seasons, and this one makes me feel "badass" in a weird way. Unfortunately this shade was a limited-edition twist-off lipstick from last fall, and that makes me so sad!
2. Favorite fall nail polish? Again, I love the vampy dark colors for colder seasons, so I've been loving Zoya's "Dakota" which is almost like an oxblood/burgundy red, and Essie's "Velvet Voyeur" which is a deep darkened purple that almost appears black. 3. Favorite Starbucks fall drink? Salted caramel mocha frap! I tend to consume colder drinks and foods during colder days for some reasons!
5. Favorite fall scarf or accessory One of my college friends gave me this beautiful scarf after he came back from India, and it's so special to me because he gave one to each of the girls in our hangout group, so all the girls have matching scarves, even though each scarf has a unique design. 6. Haunted house, haunted hay ride, or haunted corn maze? Ugh, I hate the word, "haunted," so I would choose none, but between the three it would have to be haunted hay ride. I've had BAD experiences in the past going through haunted houses and whatnot, but the hay ride wasn't so bad when I went in high school, since I made sure I sat my butt in the middle of the truck where monsters, ghouls and scary things couldn't touch or get near me. *Smart girl* 7. Favorite Halloween movie? Hocus Pocus! It's a Disney classic that my sister and I both love!
8. Favorite candy to eat on Halloween? Kit Kats and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups! Oh my goodness! :) 9. What are you dressing up as for Halloween?! I have no idea! I don't even have Halloween plans yet! 10. What is your favorite thing about fall? Sweater weather, and the fact that we are getting closer to Christmas! :)
Deal Alert! Get 15% off your entire purchase on the Tarte Cosmetics website starting now until the 22nd with the promo code: TREAT15. Unfortunately the holiday Sweet Dreams collection is excluded from this promotion, but this discount is applicable to sale items.
I usually vlog whenever I go out with my friends, but I upload the videos on my personal channel. I thought I would share this vlog from last month when my friends from college decided to drive up to visit Andrew, and me! :)
P.S. Excuse my horrible off-beat and pitchy singing at the end!
I was fortunate enough to get my hands on the limited edition holiday LORAC Mega Pro Palette ($59) last week, and I am here to bring you the swatches! From my understanding, this palette is sold out on the LORAC website; however, Amazon is supposed to have another shipment coming soon. You can sign up through Amazon HERE to get an update whenever the palette is available for purchase again. I heard rumors that it's coming back in stock again on the 18th? I have no clue, but sign up if you want to grab your hands on this palette! Do I think this palette is worth it? Yes. If you own any LORAC Pro Palettes, this is another must-have. Quality, buttery shadows for an amazing price. This would also be a great holiday gift.
Click on any photo to enlarge.
The palette itself has the same rubber-matte texture like the other two pro palettes. This is exactly twice the size of one pro palette.
The top two rows are matte (16 shadows), and the bottom two rows are shimmer (16 shadows). The only colors that are repeated from the other two pro palettes that you see in the mega are: cream, white, and black.
Swatches below for each row.
The last one is not supposed to be "espresso," but "indigo."
My favorite rows? The 2nd and 4th ones! :) I've been using this palette almost every time I do my makeup now!

"Amour" - candy pink (shimmer)
Bright, and flirty!
"Prim" - plum nude (matte)
It looks more nude in its packaging, but when swatched it appears more plum nude. This one is my favorite out of the bunch!
"Daydream" - rosy pink (matte)
"Classic" - apricot pink (matte)
Peachy pink! Very pretty for the spring season too!

Three out of the four blushes are shades of pinks, and I find them to be very different from each other, which is a good thing! It's quite a nice versatile set. Although these deluxe blushes are half the size of the full size ones, you definitely get a decent amount of product. Each blush is 0.05 oz. which seems very little, but these blushes are very rich and pigmented that you won't need much to get your cheeks looking bright! This is a preference, but I like that most of the shades are matte, which is what I normally wear during the fall/winter. As usual, these blushes have long lasting staying power, and this set is good to try out Tarte's blushes if you've never tried them before. :)
We are approaching mid-October, and more and more holiday decor and gift sets are being released as the December holidays draw closer. With less time this year to complete my Christmas shopping due to schooling, I am starting my holiday shopping now, since there are usually good deals here and there that I can take advantage of that won't break my bank.
My signature scent is Juicy Couture Eau de Parfum, and the holiday set is on sale on the Juicy Couture website for a very inexpensive price of $48 after using the promo code: JCWEEKEND . I didn't purchase this since I do still have a bottle that is pretty full, but you can take 50% off any full price items on the JC website including all of their fragrances with the above promo code! Start taking advantage of the sales now! I already see something that would make a great gift for someone I know! ;)
Everyone has been waiting to get their hands on the new limited edition holiday LORAC Mega Pro ($59) that was officially released yesterday, and I know that it sold out on the LORAC website and on Amazon. However, it seems like Amazon has restocked, so if you missed out yesterday, now is the time to get it if you've been eyeing this. LORAC has stated that they will not be restocking once the palette is sold out on their website, so hurry! I am sure that it will sell out soon again on Amazon, since Amazon ships internationally also.
