50%/30% off Halloween Items/Candy @ Target !!

I hope everyone had a great Halloween! I sure did! My friend had a small get-together/party at her house, so we ate, drank and passed out candy to a bunch of kids!

Just a heads up that starting tomorrow at Target most Halloween items will go on clearance at 50% off so make sure to stop by your store to possibly stock up for next year. Candy will be at 30% only and whatever is left will eventually be increased to 70%/50% etc as days pass by. I must admit that there wasn't much this year in the Halloween aisles. Everything was practically gone, but I guess that's a good thing for the company!

Happy last day of October! AHH! :D

REVIEW: Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash

Hi everyone,
I'm slowly testing out some skincare products that I've purchased a while back. It takes a long time for me to use up facial wash, and this one was no exception despite the small siz of the sample. I got this Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash at the end of January this year as part of my Sephora 500 points perk rewards (don't worry, it hasn't expired yet!), and I have finally got to trying it out.

This is a 1 fl. oz. sample (same size as most foundations!), and this has lasted me around 15 washes already which is amazing since this is considered a sample size. Down below is a picture of the sample, and you'll note that it's full; I took this photo at the end of September when I first started using this, but I am almost out! I've been using this mostly every other day although this can be used daily.

This is supposed to be a "frothy face wash" product, which it is, but do not expect it to be minty fresh on your face like the Clean and Clear one. All you need is a nickel size amount that will do its job in covering your entire face. I like to use my fingers and massage my face with it. Smooth!

What do I like about this product? I like that my face feels super clean. I don't know if it is clean, but it only feels that way because once you wash the face wash off your face feels dry like there's a residue or as if your face is so bare. I can't judge whether or not this face wash has helped me with my skin in terms of breakouts since I've been using other products, but if you just like the feeling of being clean, then this is for you. What I don't like about it is that my skin feels super dry after wiping down my face. I have sensitive and very dry skin, so that may be the reason why. Perhaps if you have oily or combo skin, it won't feel as drying to you instead.

This item is quite pricey at $21 for a 5 fluid ounce bottle. I like the product because I feel clean, but I won't be repurchasing it due to the drying skin effect.

Target Tuesday -- Clearance Finds!

I browsed through Target on Sunday and found several things on clearance that are really great deals. No coupons needed!

First off, I found a Maybelline Color Tattoo in "Edgy Emerald" on clearance for $2.97! Strange because "Edgy Emerald" isn't a limited edition color, so I'm wondering if they're discontinuing this color.

I would't necessarily call it an emerald color. I feel like it's more of an aqua color instead.

It has a nice sheen. Doesn't it remind you of mermaids?!

Also at Target I saw that many of the fall accessories including handbags are on clearance! Most were  30% off, but I found these purses below for 50% off, although clearance prices and items may vary by store and region. The one below is $11.49!

I actually purchased one of the clearance bags, and I am in love!I picked up this burgandy bag for only $13.49! It's a Merona crossover bag with no adjustable straps, but I love the contrasting material!

Lastly I saw many clearance signs for hair tools, but I only saw the Revlon Nano Ceramic Digital Ionic Styling Iron left on clearance at 70% off at $8.98.

Lots of Dove bar soaps and body wash on clearance. I also saw some Almay cosmetics on clearance so be sure to check out the end caps and cosmetic aisles! :)

Kate Spade Supercalifragilipsticks $10!

Kate Spade New York has a Surprise Sale going on now until Halloween. All you have to do is provide your email and zip code to enter the sale HERE. Items are up to 75% off, prices as marked. I was scrolling down the sale section and saw that they have the Supercalifragilipsticks on sale for $10 instead of the normal price $24.

There are four shades available:

                    Peach Snapps                                     Bashful Pink

supercalifragilipstick! in peach snappssupercalifragilipstick! in bashful pink
Adventurous Red                                              Parisian Pinksupercalifragilipstick! in adventurous redsupercalifragilipstick! in parisian pink

I don't know how well the quality of these lipsticks are, but by first looks I like Parisian Pink and Bashful pink. Shipping is also free!

Manicure Monday!

Sometimes you just feel like wearing pink, so I am wearing pink! This is JulieG's "Julie's Fave" color which is a bright bubble gum pinky yet slight coral. I am wearing only two coats. Dry time is a little longer than OPI from my experience which is annoying, but it finishes quite nice with a shine! This retails for $3.99 at Rite Aid and online on Jesse's Girl website.

REVIEW: Maybelline Color Tattoo in "Matte Brown" (Gilded for Gold, LE)

I have been on a HUNT for the three limited edition Maybelline Color Tattoos from the Gilded for Gold Collection. I stopped by Bed Bath and Beyond (BBB) a while ago and spotted the display, but everything was wiped out except for the "Matte Brown" Color Tattoo which I of course had to purchase! I still want "Nude Pink" and "Just Beige," and let me tell you that I've seen it appear at CVS this week, but one Color Tattoo costs $7.49! What in the world! There was no promo going on either, and I purchased mine at BBB for only $4 (originally $4.99, used a 20% off coupon)! Rip off! I shall continue to wait and pray that they're not all sold out by the time there's a good deal!

At least I was able to grab one of them, right? :)

This is the "Matte Brown" shade out of the three in the limited edition collection, and my, my, it is pretty. What color is it? Matte brown, of course.

Please excuse my super dry skin. LOL! I am not using any base underneath this swatch.

In my opinion, it it difficult to blend Color Tattoo shadows if you're using a brush, since you practically have to scoop your brush under the shadow pot, but the durability of these are amazing! Like  other Color Tattoos, I prefer to use my clean fingers to apply the shadow onto my eyelids. I find that due to the cream and gel-like texture of the Tattoos, they are easier to apply with a finger since the warmth of your fingers can help melt the product and allow for easier blend of multiple shadows. The only brush that I ever do use for Color Tattoos are flat eye shadow brushes that I use to gently pat down eye shadow.

The great thing about the Matte Brown shade is that it is buildable. You can tell by these photos that my eyelids are darkest nearest to my lashes than on the crease.

Overall, I like this matte brown shade and Color Tattoos in general. I don't mind using my fingers since I know that these bad boys will last me throughout an entire day of work!

Couponing Haul + Drugstore Beauty Lookouts!

Hi everyone! How is your week coming along? I didn't do any shopping on Sunday because I was so drowsy from the medicine I was taking for my hives. I did stop by a few stores and grabbed several things with my sister!

My sister scanned some deodorants since they have "buy 3 deodorants get a $5 giftcard" deal, but she found that ONLY the Dove Men+Care Deodorant in "Clean Comfort" with the bonus item was scanning for $1.44! Not sure if this is happening at all other Targets but double check anyway! Using the coupons as listed in my photo below, this is a $0.44 money maker if your Target accepts overage to be applied to the rest of your purchases.

$1.00 off Dove Men+Care Item (Target Web Coupon)

Almost all the Maybelline mascaras are on sale this week at CVS for $5 which is a great price, knowing that at Target they usually cost $5.97 to $7.04. I picked up the Mega Plush mascara and used a $2 off any Maybelline Mascara that is no longer available online on Red Plum. Unfortunately there are no Maybelline coupons out there to my knowledge.

There are no coupons for the Just the Basics Liquid Dish Soap, but these were on sale for $0.99 each. I like these because they are larger in size in comparison to other brands. Each bottle is 20 ounces, and there are two scents available: lemon and fresh.

I bought candy, yes I did! I love Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. The 6 snack size pack is on sale this week for $0.97.

I paid using my ECBs for everything.
Beauty Lookouts!

I saw lots of new beauty displays at the drugstores! EEKS! See the photos below!

The Gilded in Gold Limited Edition Collection by Maybelline has finally hit CVS! I was excited to see this display because when I went to Bed Bath and Beyond, only one of the Color Tattoos were left. I did a price check on the matte Color Tattoos, and they cost a whooping $7.49! What in the world! That is so pricey! At Bed Bath and Beyond they were only $4.99 each, plus you can use the 20% off BBB coupon! You can bet I didn't buy any of it! I'll wait for a sale!

Also at CVS I saw the Beauty Army sets by Wet N Wild!!! It's best to get these THIS week because all Wet N Wild products are 40% off at CVS this week only! Originally $2.99, $1.80 for a mascara and trio after 40% off.

At Rite Aid they have the new Revlon Parfum Scented Nail Polishes at $5.99. So many beautiful colors! I can't wait to buy a few once they're on sale!

I also saw this Disco Inferno display by New York Color Cosmetics. This is their fall line, and along with CVS, Rite Aid has NYC products at 40% off this week. I suggest buying any NYC products from Rite Aid this week instead, since if you spend $5 worth of NYC products (after discount), you'll receive $2 back in +Up Rewards!

Hautelook: Korres Natural Skincare & Makeup!

I love the Korres Mango Lip Butter Lipsticks, and it looks like Korres is on Hautelook today until tomorrow at 8AM Pacific.

Because Hautelook belongs to Nordstrom Rack, I'm curious to see if these will show up at the Rack stores. I hope so! I have yet to try any other products, but I am waiting for a good holiday set from either Sephora or HSN to get my hands on them!

Living Social -- 20% Off Promo Code!

Until tomorrow, you can get 20% off your purchase at with promo code: ITSY20

They currently have Yes to... promotions either $15 $12 for a $30 purchase or $25 $20 for a $50 purchase. Read the fine print, as you cannot use your code towards special purchases on the Yes to... site.

Deborah Lippmann Nail Lacquers -- 50% Off!!

All Deborah Lippman products on Beauty Brands is 50% off! This is a great, great deal since a bottle of lacquer for this brand can cost you between $17 to $20! Not sure how long this sale is going to last, but I would get what I want before supplies run out! Free shipping with orders of $50+.

They also have hairsprays on sale for $9.98!$9.98 Hairspray

Skincare Haul! (Korean skincare, Korres, Tarte, etc.)

I thought I would share a collective skincare haul since I love skincare products! I have normal/dry yet sensitive skin, but I'm always trying to find products at an affordable price.

I'm going to start off with my biggest purchase which is the Tarte Pure Maracuja Oil that costs $46. Fortunately I didn't spend $46! I only paid $25 when Ulta had their 21 Days of Beauty, and I've been eyeing this product for over a year ever since I've heard great things about it improving people's skin.

The packaging is absolutely adorable. The bottle contains 50 mL of product and is packed in a bamboo box. Maracuja oil contains vitamin C and fatty acids that is supposed to hydrate the skin, smooth it out, make it firmer and brighter and reduce redness. Apparently 96% of people who used this for 6 weeks saw skin improvements. Out of all skincare products I am most excited to try this one!

Next up is this Epielle Cucumber Cleansing Tissues that I purchased at Big Lots for $0.80 when they had their 20% off sale. You can get these for only a buck at most Big Lots for the 30 count or $2 for the 60 count. I have also seen these at the Korean supermarkets, but for $3, so get it at Big Lots instead! I haven't tried these out yet, but hopefully these work. It's strange in a way to find them at Big Lots.

Back in early August I went to TJ Maxx and found this Korres Pomegranate Toner. I love Korres' Mango Lip Butters, so I wanted to give this a try. I don't have oily/combo skin, but who knows, maybe I'll like this toner! This was only $4.99! At Sephora, this thing is $20, and it's the exact same product with the exact same packaging!

CVS has a variety of Jason products and Gud Products on clearance for 75% off. I saw this clarifying and brightening wash by Jason and thought I'd give this cleanser a try. I believe this was around $3.

Last month I picked up this L'Oreal Paris Ideal Clean Foaming Gel Cleanser at Target for only a buck after coupons, but this retails for $4.49.

Last but not least, I picked up some Korean facial masks from the Korean market, each at $0.79. I like using a mask every 1.5 weeks or so. I don't know if these masks do anything in the long run, but after using one my face immediately feels like a baby's skin! You can find these at almost any Asian market!

That is it for my skincare haul! Additionally I will try to review almost everything once I get to using the product. Thanks for reading!

In other news...
  • I am in the middle of trying an Origins facial wash product out, and hopefully I'll get a review out soon. I'm trying not to try out too skincare products since my skin has been very sensitive within the past two months. I've been breaking out in hives from who knows what, but I'm praying we can find some solutions when I see my allergist tomorrow! Oh the irony of this post!
  • I think I've found a new favorite mascara. ;)
  • I'll be posting a combined couponing haul and beauty lookouts by tomorrow late afternoon. My sister wants to drop by the stores tomorrow, so I'm going to tag along with her after my appointment. I'm trying to get her to take me to the doctor in the AM since I'll be getting a patch test done, and no one wants to drive (or wear a bra) when their back is burning afterwards!
  • Some fall decor items at Target are already on clearance!
