Bath and Body Works - 3-Wick Candles Sale!

    Good morning!

I just woke up and it's already 85 degrees at home! Anyway, a sales associates from Bath and Body Works told me yesterday that starting today for the weekend, their 3-wick candles will be on sale. I checked this morning online, and it sure is on sale! They are 2 for $22 which is considered a great deal, knowing that one candle is regularly priced at $20! Lots of new fragrances for the fall and winter! They have other offers as well, and select summer items are 50% off. I believe that if you purchase something you'll get a survey offer at the bottom of your receipt that allows you to take $10 off a $30 purchase next time you shop. :)

REVIEW: Tarte's "Lights, Camera, Lashes" Mascara

    Happy happy Friday!

I don't think too many Southern Californians are too happy today though because temperatures soared through the roof!

Anyhow, I have not done a review in a long time, but today I am happy to share with you one of my favorite mascaras. I love mascara, and it's the one product I can't leave the house without! This mascara that I love is by Tarte called, "Lights, Camera, Lashes."

I've used this mascara for months, and have gone through one deluxe sample size, and am about to finish my second deluxe sample size. It's ok though because I purchased the full size one as back up! :P

Tarte claims that this mascara is a "4-in-1" where it volumizes your lashes by 424% along with lengthening, conditioning and curling them. I don't know where they got that number, but it sounds kind of crazy huh?

The brush itself has very separated and fine bristles that helps separate the lashes.

Here are my lashes without any lash primer. You can see that my lashes naturally come outward.

My lashes with one coat. I only applied this to my top lashes.

    Two coats.

Three coats. - This is where it begins to get clumpy, but it still looks natural.

Three coats on top lashes, one coat on bottom.

The formula is slightly dry, and gives your lashes a natural look. I like that it's not so wet that it starts clumping my lashes. I love the natural look, and I have no problems with smudging. I am always confused as to whether or not the mascara is dried out, but it's usually not the case -- it's the way the formula is built, which can be a con. I don't know if my lashes look 424% more volumized, but I can say that my lashes do look volumized and lenghthened. My lashes are also slightly curled as well. For their claim that this mascara is supposed to condition my lashes, I don't know how to test that, but this mascara works for me! You I definitely love using this mascara, but this mascara is on the higher priced end at $19 (HERE). I do recommend it if you are looking for something natural. If you want huge sha-boom lashes, then this is probably not for you.

Target Deal! L'Oreal Healthy Look Creme Gloss!

    Happy Friday everyone!

I'm in the process of transitioning my wardrobe for the upcoming fall season. It doesn't help that it is currently more than 90 degrees right now in San Diego! It is CRAZY HOT! L'Oréal Healthy Look hair color crème

    Ikea Beauty Organization!

    Hello everyone!

I've been doing some major organizing! What kind of organizing? Beauty supplies! DUN DUN DUN! I purchased a plastic 5-drawer storage at Target in the past that I've been using to store all my makeup, brushes, and extra supplies, but my collection has grown so much more that I started to store the extras in plastic boxes. I did the same with my nail polish. Can you imagine my room with a million plastic boxes filled with makeup and nail polish?! I got frustrated at how everything in my room looked, so I did some research and like a lot of bloggers and Youtubers out there, I purchased the "Alex" from Ikea (HERE, $119). This storage contains five "small" drawers and four "large" drawers to total nine. It's pretty spacious, and it was able to fit all my makeup including extras, my makeup bags, candles, skincare products, and other miscellaneous items. I ended up storing my nail polish with a different method that I will share another day. Now I don't have plastic boxes hanging around my room! I love that everything fits!

By the way,  I built this myself and for someone who doesn't build things, it took me approximately 5 hours to complete. I'm slow, but I'd rather have it right than wrong! I suggest that if you get any kind of furniture from Ikea make sure to count all the screws and nails they provide because I was missing a screw for the Alex, and I was on the phone for a good 15 minutes before I was able to reach costumer service. If you are missing any parts you can also bring your receipt into the store and show it at costumer service, and they should provide you your missing part. :)

I also purchased these organizers at Ikea. It's a plastic organizer divided into five sections. They're not a perfect fit for the Alex, but they do fit inside with room to spare. I purchased three of these for $3 each, which is not bad at all!

Additionally, I found this jar at Ikea, and I love how it is built. I wanted something to store cotton balls, and this seemed perfect since it has a lid that will prevent dust and other particles from dirtying them! This was only $4!

I filled the jar with cotton balls. Isn't it cute? They also have two other sizes: one in miniature, and then a huge and more round one that can probably fit a bunch of cookies! :P

I spent a good two hours at Ikea just browsing around. There are so many things to look at, and who doesn't love the little bedroom models they have up?! I definitely recommend checking out what Ikea has because you never know what you'll find! :)

Hopefully I will have a post up soon by the end of this week with my nail polish collection! Thanks for reading! :)

    Manicure Monday!

I am SO excited about Manicure Monday today because the nail polish I am wearing is a holographic! Milani's 3D Holographics are discontinued at the drugstore for a long time now, but I went to the Dollar Tree store, and wowzer, they had it there! Best part? $1.00! I'm not surprised to find Milani discontinued products at the Dollar Tree, but I was ecstatic to find the holographic polishes there!

The one I am wearing is called, "HD," and it's a silver holo. Gorgeous!

    August Monthly Favorites!

We are already approaching the end of August, and it makes me excited that autumn is almost here! Here in San Diego we don't have four seasons although sometimes I wish we did! I absolutely love autumn and winter out of all other seasons mostly due to the coldness, rain, and merry holidays.

Back to Monthly Favorites! I don't have many "favorite" products this month because I've been sick and lazy to put on makeup and try other beauty products I have hiding somewhere in my room. Nevertheless, I do have several items I would love to share with you!

    • I've reviewed this before called the Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Intense Moisturizing Treatment by Organix (HERE with a demo of how I applied this on), and I've tried this several more times since I've done the review, and I've been loving it more and more. I do this treatment once a week, and I mainly use it because I love the texture that it gives my hair after I get out of the shower and dry it. My hair is super smooth, shiny, and has a great scent after I use it. I use this every once a week or every 1.5 weeks. I believe Organix has other hair treatments for other purposes too if you're not interested in this one.

    • O.P.I. - La Paz-itively Hot - Strangely this is one of my favorites this month, and the reason why I say "strangely" is because I never thought that I would be head over heels for this hot pink color -- I'm more of a pale pink gal. This is a matte finish color, and the reason why I'm attracted to this polish is the matte finish itself that leaves my nails with a slight glare as I move it within the light which almost reminds me of Christmas ornaments. Maybe that's why I love it! I believe this is not in the permanent line, and is discontinued. Downfall to this product? It chips easily! There was a tag on the bottle when I purchased it that said not to put on a base coat or top coat.
    • This Too Faced Glamour to Go (discontinued) kit is one of my first kits or palettes I've ever purchased from Sephora. I've had this kit for a long time, and I've used up all the lip glosses, and hit pan on the blush, but I still have plenty of eye shadows left to use! This was hidden in the back of my makeup drawer, and thank goodness I found it because I absolutely love these colors!

These colors are very pigmented in my opinion. Several colors tend to be chalky though, such as the peach color you see on the first row, third color and the yellow color on the last row at the end, but they are still highly pigmented. I'm surprised I didn't use this palette as much when I was younger since the colors are so beautiful. My favorite is the mossy green in the first row, 4th shadow. :)

    Top row (w/o primer)

Last row in the kit. (w/o primer)
    • Tarte Complexion Enhancing Duo in "Medium to Tan" - I love this, but I'm sad Tarte no longer sells this regularly online or in store! Anywho, this is a lipstick that contains two separate colors that when you apply onto your lips and rub them together, it creates a beautiful peachy pink color on your lips! The center is a pink-red color and the outside is nude.

Here's how it looks before it is rubbed together. You'll notice that the colors do not appear as dark as they seem in the bottle. It's creamy, but the application is a little sheer.

Here's how it looks after blending the colors together. Beautiful isn't it?

Last but not least, this is not a beauty product, but it is something that I love. I purchased this "Keep Calm and Carry On" mug last year at Marshalls, and I absolutely love it. I've been using it every single day drinking tea or even water. It's random, but I thought that I'd share since it's so darn cute. The quote is also stamped along the edge on the inside of the mug.

That's it for my favorites! It's not a lot, but hopefully I'll be able to try more products and share with you all more favorites next month! My cousin is getting married, and I have yet to find a full on hair and makeup look that I want to wear to the ceremony and reception! September will be a month where I'll be testing out a lot more products, and hopefully I'll find products and a few looks that will be suitable for me as a guest at the wedding! What are your favorites of this month?!

    Bright Cardigan!

It is unlike me to wear shades of green, but yesterday I put on a bright green-blue cardigan sweater with outlines of neon yellow! I purchased this cardigan at JC Penney HERE.

Mini Tarte Haul From F&F Sale

I received my package from Tarte a little more than two weeks ago after their Family & Friends sale, and I'm here to share with you what I got!

    • "Romancing the Glow" palette ($25) - This palette is made of their infamous amazonian clay ingredients, and comes with a blush, bronzer, shimmering powder, and eye shadows.

The packaging is absolutely cute too. It's a circular wooden disk with a beautiful turquoise rock-like stone placed down the middle with "tarte" engraved below.

This palette comes with a see-through sheet that labels the colors of everything. The blush is called "Romantic" found in the center of the palette. The bronzer is on the upper right hand corner called "Park Ave Princess" and the shimmering powder is called "Champagne." Eye shadows from left to right at the bottom of the palette are: Pearl, Sandstone, Cafe Brazil, Sunset, Tropical Bronze, and Turquoise.

Swatches from left to right: Romance, Champagne, Pearl, Sandstone, Cafe Brazil, Sunset, Tropical Bronze, Turquoise, Park Ave Princess

I also filmed the swatches below too so that you can get a closer view.

Cute floral design on the ends.

This lip gloss is similar to that of Stila where you click the bottom of the gloss for the product to come out.

Once you apply it to the lips, it looks beautiful!

    • This was a free sample that came with my order. It's the "Hotel Heiress" Mineral Powder Bronzer which has some slight shimmer in it.

I love buying new makeup! So far I've only used the duo lipstick, and I love it! I can't wait to actually wear the other cosmetics! :)
